The original book Practical Cardiology was primarily designed as a reference for general practitioners in the fast growing area of cardiology. The book was published in 1999 into a market notorious for not purchasing books. The concept is to be rewritten to access a broader market of clinical medical students, GP registrars in training and cardiac nurses. Market conditions have changed at all levels ? undergraduate/trainee and practising. The market has grown at undergraduate level, the trainee curriculum is undergoing significant change and practitioners are responding to new products following changes in healthcare levies. Important complications of interventional procedures are also demonstrated. The CD will assist clinicians and their patients to understand the various interventions.
